Manchester United Target : Lewandowski

The Manchester United boss has been keeping close tabs on the Borussia Dortmund hitman and had him watched several times this season.

Fergie is hoping to use Dimitar Berbatov as a makeweight in a potential £14m deal to lure Lewandowski to Old Trafford. Fergie is desperate to sign Lewandowski before the 23-year-old goes to Euro 2012 with the Poland squad.

The United boss knows he could miss out if he impresses in Poland and Ukraine and his value soars.

Lewandowski helped Dortmund land the Bundesliga title this season and struck an impressive hat-trick in front of a watching Fergie to sink Bayern Munich in the German Cup Final.

Meanwhile, Berbatov has taken a parting shot at Fergie ahead of his expected exit from Old Trafford.

Berbatov, who remains United’s record £30.7m signing, insists the Scot froze him out and made promises he couldn’t keep.

The Bulgarian said: “We talked 10 times, he told me there would be a place for me but I stayed on the bench.

“My time at Manchester United is running out. I no longer feel like a valuable part of this team.

“I think I did well in the few opportunities I had.

“I’m frustrated by the way this has happened and don’t think I deserved it.

“But I have dignity and I stopped going to such meetings now it is clear that I’m leaving.”

With Fergie having to move quickly to land Lewandowski, it remains to be seen if Berbatov is willing to help by becoming part of the deal.

Galatasaray and Lazio are monitoring the situation.

Manchester United Linked With Kevin-Prince Boateng

Manchester United have expressed interest in signing Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to reports in Italy.
Manager Alex Ferguson wants to turn to the AC Milan ace who has impressed in Serie A since leaving Tottenham two years ago.
Milan officials are deciding whether to offer Boateng a new deal or cash in to fund a bid for Santos’s promising Brazil playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso.
Boateng despite battling injuries this term scored nine goals in 27 appearances.
Concerns about his physical fragility, which restricted him to just half of Milan’s games is a problem but he is relatively lowly paid.
The 25-year-old pockets £ 30,000-a-week after tax and would hope to land double if he extends his contract by one year to 2016.
Manchester United are pushing hard to sign Borussia Dortmund star Shinji Kagawa and Eden Hazard of Lille.

Premier League giants are willing to listen to offers for South Korean midfielder, who has become surplus to requirements at Old Trafford after being dogged by injuries

The Turkish club have made United aware of their interest in the South Korean midfielder, who has become surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

The Premier League giants are prepared to off-load Park this summer in order to make space on their wage bill for fresh blood, with Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa among their leading targets.

The midfielder, 31, spent most of the season on the fringes of the United squad, starting just 10 of the team’s 38 league matches.

Given his age and the fact he has only a year remaining on his contract, United value the player at around the £3 million mark.

However, Galatasaray, who are looking to consolidate after winning their first league title in four years, have been made aware that Park’s current package is worth £65,000-a-week.

Speaking in Thailand this week, the Korean explained that talks with the Turkish club are yet to reach a formal stage.

“I haven't received an official offer," He said. "It is always a good thing for a player to be wanted by a team, though.

"I know I can't stay in the team just because I want to, but I still harbour hopes of retiring with Manchester United."

Park has made 205 appearances for United since joining them in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven.

Manchester United deny Malcolm Glazer 'death' after 'massive stroke' rumours spark internet storm

Manchester United have announced that rumours circulating on the internet relating to the health of owner Malcolm Glazer are false after the supposed 'death' of the American sparked an internet storm on Thursday.

Malcolm Glazer, pictured in 2005, gradually bought out Manchester United shareholders in a deal that valued the club at around $1.47 billion (£900 million)
The American businessman turns 85 on Friday, but a malicious rumour, started on Twitter, led to a story being widely reported that he passed away after "a massive stroke".
Glazer bought out Man United shareholders gradually between 2003 and 2005 in a deal that valued the club at around $1.47 billion (£900 million), but he has not been a particularly popular figure among supporters ever since, having lodged a huge amount of debt next to the club.
